The purpose of this website is to try to understand more about male body
hair in relation to man’s ascent from his primitive past.
Having been covered in hair all my life I am now at a point where I can research
the subject. This is because the web has made it possible to have a global view.
I think the best areas of body hair to connect us with early man are the
shoulder hair, which is longer and coarser to the elbow, the two pads of longer
hair on the back, and the pattern made by hair direction on the back. My view is
that this is type related rather than random. I assume these would not have had
to change much with evolution - only to disappear from the majority of men.
The standard model of evolution seems to be that as early man moved from warmer
climes they needed more hair cover. They would have lived in groups in order to
survive, and these groups may have produced their own hair type. I am trying to be
more focused- as opposed to only concentrating on hair in general terms. The question springs to mind – why am I doing this? The answer is
because every
so often the genetic dice are thrown and they produce someone like me, the
visual evidence of evolution.
